Roman sent FDC celebrating 200th anniversary of birth of Leopold Kronenberg
his comments:
Leopold Kronenberg (24-03-1812 - 05-04-1878)
Polish banker, financier, investor, member of many financial and economical institutions, politician.
He gave money for building so called Vistula Railway, long for about 500 km (from Mlawa - Varsaw - Lublin - to Kowel now in Ukraine)
On the stamp: Mr Kronenberg, in the back : his merchant bank, founded in 1870.
Roman is sorry as he has no information what building (railway station) is shown on the cover
Pershaps somebody know that !!!
